One of the places which is an absolute must-see in Sorrento is the Grand Marina. Eventually after getting lost in the narrow streets, we finally found it. The view of the candy coloured shops, restaurants and apartments against the clear blue of the sea blew me away and for me, it was probably the high point of the trip to Sorrento. The locals were out fixing up boats and varnishing docks in preparation for high tourist season and the atmosphere around the area was so warm, relaxed and friendly. We spent the best part of two hours eating lunch, people watching and taking photos, and just looking through the shots makes me wish I were back in Italy.
