36 Hours in Rome

Our trip to Italy culminated in a fantastic day and a half in Rome, the perfect way to prepare for our goodbyes in the airport. Having already spent a weekend there, I knew I wanted to go see the Colosseum lit up at night-time, throw some coins in the Trevi Fountain, eat gelato and walk hand in hand around the Eternal City. Instead for feeling pressure to see everything, we just savoured the last two days we would have together for three months.

There are moments when I’m glad I have photos to look back upon. The next eight weeks are going to be long and frustrating, and looking back at the photos and reflecting on the memories of our Italian holiday is a tonic to the stress of a long-distance relationship.

How about you guys? Have you been in a long-distance relationship?
